We are celebrating our Seventh (7th) Annual Health & Scholarship Golf Tournament on Monday August 18, 2008.  Our Pastor, John M. Borders III, and the members of the golf committee would be honored to have you join us at the William Devine Golf Course at Franklin Park to participate in a great day of golf.  Each year we are fortunate to bring a diverse group of people together from across the city for a round of golf and networking. The result is new friendships between corporate, community, and religious leaders.

All proceeds from the golf tournament will go to the Health & Scholarship Fund.  Your contribution will enable us to focus our attention on health care disparities impacting underserved youth.  In addition, it will provide financial assistance to young people heading to college.  Your financial support will prepare young people for the future in a world where a good education is essential.  We firmly believe that you are our partner and together we have become their faithful stewards and guardians.

Mark the date on your calendar and join us, along with local sports celebrities, elected officials, families and friends to be a part of this great day.  The tournament will be held at Franklin Park, the second oldest Public Golf course in the country, which is a Donald Ross design.  Our goal is to have healthy and educated young people participating in the days activities.  The Morning Star Baptist Church Golf Committee thanks you for your support.

We would  like to have your support.  Please feel free to contact any member of the golf committee with any questions.  Your support is greatly appreciated!

Darnell Williams
Chairman MSBC Golf Committee
